Only one selected from Gujarat for the tournament

It is always a dream to do something big and it takes a lot of hard work and courage to make a dream come true. One such girl from Vadodara is trying the same to follow her dreams and makes them true with true determination.

The young kick boxer Manisha Jagdish Vala 28 is going to shine in the international tournament as she is the only girl selected from Gujarat to represent India in the championship. Hails from Kodinar Gir Somnath district, she shifted to Vadodara for her future education and job. She comes from a middle class family and has always been a brilliant student. Along with her career she is also interested in sports and always dreamed of representing India at the international level.

“I always has a interest in learning martial arts and turn to kickboxing a year ago. Being a student of Navodaya school I lived in the hostel till 12th and always being a independent girl. After lost my parents in a road accident i take care of my younger brother and sister with equal confidence and also moving ahead in my career. Parents support was always there and there is no gender discrimination in our family which gives all the equal opportunity and confidence,” said Manisha.

Most recently, Manisha won a bronze medal at the National Kickboxing Championships 2021 in Goa and went to India Camp at Una, Himachal Pradesh. Now she has the opportunity to represent India at the 7th International Kickboxing Championships in Turkey. She gets training at Siddharth Fitness Club under national coach Siddharth Bhalegare.

“She is a very talented and eager to learn the art of Kickboxing. In one year time she mark her presence in district, state and national tournaments and now aiming for the international championship. Its a learning process and its good to see her growing as a player while fulfilling her responsibilities,”said Siddharth Bhalegare.

Manisha is presently working as public health executive in private firm and aims for olympic preparation if she wins a medal in the international tournament.
