Aquisition of Luminous electrical business, working with ISRO

RR Kabel, one of the leading electrical manufacturing companies which is a part RR Global, USD 1.25 billion conglomerate is all set to expand its footprint in Gujarat, India. They opened their largest corporate office in Vadodara which is a stepping stone in the company’s overall growth in the Indian market. They are also working with ISRO which they termed as proud moment for the company.

Another significant milestone for RR Kabel is the new plant that the company has established at Waghodia, Gujarat. The company is all set to manufacture the entire range of their switches products at this new factory. This new factory is an addition to the company’s ethos of being Atmanirbhar and a Make-In-India company.

The company has also announced the acquisition of Luminous Home Electrical business from Schneider. This acquisition will further strengthen RR Kabel’s consumer electricals business which has a diversified portfolio of fans, lights & appliances. The transaction is expected to close in May’22.

“We are largest exporter in India and export to 85 countries. We are now working with ISRO which is our prestigious project and presently is in primary stage. As far as acquisition is concerned we acquired top business Luminous home electrical business of Schneider. We are the first Indian company to aquire an MNC. As far as expansion is concerned we will do majorly in Baroda and Silvassa. We plan to invest 1000 crores in the business where 600 crore will be in wires, 200 in lighting and fans, 200 in switches products. We will target to employ 2000 to 2500 people as part of our expansion. In Baroda we have 200 employees working in office and 2500 in the plant,” said Gopal Kabra, MD, RR Kabel.
